Due to increased pressure from European countries, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will provide a comprehensive update on Iran's nuclear program at its next meeting, according to Mohammad Eslami, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).
"The IAEA update will consist of two parts. The first will be devoted to inspections, and the second - to the topic of the JCPOA and Resolution 2231 [of the UN Security Council on the Iranian nuclear program from 2015]. Three European countries increased pressure, and the agency announced that it will prepare a comprehensive update by the next time," he said after the government meeting.
Iran hopes that the IAEA will prepare the update professionally and without "political bias," according to the AEOI's head. "Our cooperation with the agency continues, and we are under its control," Eslami concluded.
