IDF confirms it killed senior Hamas commander in Gaza

Israeli forces have struck the headquarters of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

This was reported by the army's press service.

The report claims that unidentified senior movement figures were the strike's target.

"The Israeli army and the General Security Service recently attacked known terrorists located in the Hamas command and control center in the Gaza City area. The command and control center was used by the terrorists to plan and carry out attacks against the Israeli civilian population and military personnel," the report said.

The army emphasized that, prior to the strike, many steps were taken to reduce the damage to Gaza's civilian population.
