Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, will be the main negotiators at the US-Iranian meeting in Oman.
It is specified that Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi will also take part in the talks.
"According to the information received, Araghchi and Wittkof are senior negotiators between Tehran and Washington," the statement said.
Araghchi said earlier that representatives of Iran and the United States will meet in Oman on Saturday for high-level indirect talks.
On April 7, US President Donald Trump announced that the American and Iranian sides were holding direct talks on the Iranian nuclear issue. In addition, the American leader clarified that on Saturday, April 12, a large meeting "almost at the highest level" will be held between the United States and Iran.
