7 miners died of gas poisoning in Iran

Seven miners died of gas poisoning at a coal mine in northern Iran's Semnan province on Monday evening.

The information indicates that a toxic gas leak caused the workers' deaths. According to reports, four foreign nationals and three Iranians were among the dead.

According to labor activists, the incident happened because the mine's safety rules were not being followed. It should be mentioned that during the last six months, 1,077 Iranian workers have died in accidents related to their jobs.

When it comes to workplace safety regulations, Iran is ranked 102nd out of all countries in the world.
