These protests are being held because the Islamic Republic of Iran registered the Qashqai Turks' national costume under the Lur people's name, endangering the Qashqai people's cultural identity and fostering animosity between the Lur and Turkish peoples.

Protesters at the rally chanted slogans like "A Qashqai will die; but not accept disgrace." In addition, the Qashqai chanted the slogan "May the Turkish Nation Exist, May the Qashqai Live" and emphasized the solidarity and unity of the Turks, urging all Turks to prevent ignorant individuals or misguided policies from stealing and distorting the Qashqai Turks' national costumes and cultural treasures.

The demonstrators declared that they would not cease their activities until their demands were fulfilled and their cultural rights were protected, emphasizing the value of protecting the Qashqai national costume and avoiding its confiscation and alterations.
