More than 1,000 prisoners executed during the Pezeshkian's government

Information indicates that 14 of those who were executed received death sentences for political offenses.

In the previous ten years, this was the most executions that Iran had carried out. A record number of executions were reported in Iranian prisons across several cities in October, the fourth month of Pezeshkian's presidency.

161 people were put to death that month, including 2 Turkmen and 28 Azerbaijani Turks.
