Azerbaijani and Qashqai national activists hold demonstration in Antalya

Azerbaijani and Qashqai national activists held a demonstration in Antalya. During an interview with a non-Turkish Iranian envoy, the flags of Southern Azerbaijan and Qashqai-Yurd resistance were waved.

As in previous years, during the Turkmen Yörük International Festival held in Antalya, the flags of Southern Azerbaijan and Qashqai-Yurd resistance were displayed during an interview by Iranian official representative Jafar Ali Norouzifard.

This symbolic demonstration was carried out by Azerbaijani and Qashqai national activists and added a spirit of nationalism and protest to the ceremony.

During the traditional art and dance performances of the Qashqai Turkmens, the above-mentioned flags were also present on stage.

Jafar Ali Norouzifard, who was introduced as a representative of the Shiraz municipality, participated in the festival alongside groups from Qashqai Turks, Southern Azerbaijan, and Turkman-Sahra Turks.

Although presented as a representative of the Turkish community, this individual used a translator and expressed his views in Persian.

One of the tense moments observed was the absence of the Iranian flag in the tent of the Turkish groups. They strongly criticized the Turkish artists.

It is worth recalling that last year, Sussan Hariri, head of the Iran–Neighboring Countries Friendship Association, also attempted to remove the flags of Southern Azerbaijan, Qashqai-Yurd, and United Azerbaijan during a similar event, which was met with strong resistance from national activists.
