Iran’s parliament speaker condemns IAEA resolution, Warns of stronger response

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has strongly condemned the latest resolution passed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors against Iran, calling it a biased move that proves cooperation with the agency has yielded counterproductive results.

Ghalibaf warned that Iran will deliver a firm response to what he described as an excessive and unjust demand. “In response to this excessive demand, the Islamic Republic of Iran will take appropriate and strong measures,” he wrote on his social media account.

He stated that a fitting reaction to the resolution would include uranium enrichment using advanced centrifuges, launching a new enrichment facility, and reducing the IAEA's monitoring and oversight.

His remarks come amid escalating tensions between Iran and Western powers following the agency’s resolution, which criticizes Tehran for failing to meet its nuclear safeguards obligations.
