In the early hours of Saturday morning, Israel targeted the Zanjan Armored Brigade. Videos shared online show a series of consecutive explosions in the area.
Despite the intensity of the attacks, clearly visible in video footage, Ali Sadeghi, Zanjan’s Deputy Governor for Political and Security Affairs, claimed that “Zanjan’s air defense successfully countered the Israeli missiles.”
He stated that around 5 a.m., Israel launched multiple missiles at an area a few kilometers northwest of Zanjan, which were intercepted by air defense fire. Only two projectiles reportedly hit the region, with no casualties.
Sadeghi added that at 3:30 a.m., Israel also attacked the southeastern area of Abhar with several projectiles. Thanks to the alertness of the armed forces’ air defense, most of the projectiles were destroyed, and only two hit a ruined building—again, with no reported casualties.
