Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has addressed the Iranian people in a video message.

In the video, Netanyahu stated:

“We are in the midst of one of the largest military operations in history: Operation Rising Lion. For nearly 50 years, the Islamic regime that has oppressed you has threatened to destroy our country — the State of Israel.

The goal of Israel’s operation is to eliminate the nuclear and missile threat posed by the Islamic regime.

In pursuing our objective, we are also clearing the path for your freedom.

In the last 24 hours, we have eliminated senior military commanders of the Islamic regime, top nuclear scientists, the largest uranium enrichment facility, and a significant portion of the ballistic missile arsenal.

The regime has never been this weak.

This is your chance to speak out and make your voices heard.

As I have said many times — yesterday and before — Israel is not fighting the Iranian people.

Our struggle is against the murderous Islamic regime that oppresses and impoverishes you.

The people of Israel and Iran have been friends since the era of Cyrus the Great.
