Israel claims “Complete Air Superiority” over Iran

On Monday afternoon, the spokesperson for the Israeli military, in the fourth day of conflict with Iran, announced: “We can say that we have achieved complete air superiority over Iranian airspace. The same capabilities we had in Gaza, Lebanon, and Judea and Samaria [West Bank] are now accessible to us, particularly in Tehran.”

Avichay Adraee also stated that since the early hours of Friday, Israel has destroyed “over 120 missile launchers, which accounts for one-third of Iran’s missile launch platforms.”

He further claimed that Iran had intended to launch more missiles toward Israel on Sunday night and early Monday, but Israel’s preemptive actions forced Iran to fire only half the planned number.

According to the spokesperson, during Iran’s two waves of missile attacks on Sunday night and Monday morning, 65 missiles and dozens of drones were launched toward Israel. “Israeli defense systems intercepted most,” he said, adding that those that did land resulted in the deaths of eight Israelis.

Regarding Monday morning’s strikes on Iran, Adraee said the operation involved 50 fighter jets and “delivered extensive blows to several sites in the heart of Iran.”

In response to reporters’ questions about how the Israeli military plans to avoid a prolonged war with Iran, the spokesperson said: “We are following a structured plan, which we update regularly and execute decisively.”
