Yılmaz Mehralibeyli, an activist from Julfa, was transferred from the Tabriz Intelligence Department to Julfa Prison on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Arrested by security forces on July 21, 2025, Yılmaz Mehralibeyli explained in a telephone conversation with his family that the charges against him are “propaganda against the system” and “misleading public opinion.”

He has previously been arrested and subjected to pressure for his peaceful activities in the field of human rights and the protection of political prisoners.
