According to recent estimates, Iran ranks 97th out of 100 countries in the world in terms of internet speed, outages, and restrictions. Despite these restrictions, surveys show that Starlink satellite internet users in Iran are increasing.
This was reported by Hamidreza Ahmadi, deputy chairman of the Internet and Infrastructure Commission of the Tehran Electronic Commerce Association.
He noted that Iran is still among the worst countries in the world in terms of internet quality.
Ahmadi said that the restrictions on the internet in the country are not related to the 12-day Iran-Israel conflict:
"Restrictions and outages on Iran's internet network were recorded before the war and continues now."
