The videos show government officials confiscating the goods of street vendors, and vendors who protested were severely beaten and arrested.
After the videos were shared on social media, a group of Qazvin residents and street vendors gathered in front of the Qazvin Justice Department building and held a protest.
They demanded that the municipal employees who were violent be punished.
After that, the Qazvin Justice Department issued a statement stating that the law had been violated in the incident and announced that a legal case had been filed regarding the matter.
It was stated that according to the legislation, municipal employees are not considered employees of the Justice Department and do not have the authority to engage in physical confrontation with citizens.
