A gym in the Iranian city of Yazd has been closed for "mixed activity," men and women exercising together, and violating mandatory hijab regulations.
Ali Akbar Tabai, the head of the Yazd Public Spaces Control Police, released a statement about this.
"After conducting an inspection, our employees confirmed the information that boys and girls were exercising together here." - he said.
Tabai said that a criminal case has been opened against the head of the gym, whose identity has not been disclosed.
It should be noted that two days ago, information was spread that "the implementation of the compulsory hijab law in Iran has been suspended," citing Majhammad Reza Bahunar, a member of the Iranian Advisory Council, which does not reflect the truth.
