With 21 journalists in prison and one missing, Iran ranks 7th in the world among the countries with the most journalists in prison.

This was stated in the latest report of Reporters Without Borders.

In addition, Reporters Without Borders has also listed Iran among the 10 countries with the most journalists in exile.

The list includes Afghanistan, Russia, Sudan, Belarus, Myanmar, El Salvador and Kyrgyzstan, while Iran ranks fourth in terms of the number of journalists in exile.

It should be noted that after the 12-day Iran-Israel conflict, pressure on the media has increased and 150 journalists have been dismissed.

According to the latest report of the Defending Free Flow of Information Organization criminal cases were opened against 46 journalists and media organizations in Iran in the first half of this year.
