The news that the Iranian Air Defense Forces shot down F-35 aircraft during the 12-day Iran-Israel war was false, and by spreading it, they discredited the country's television.
This was stated by Peyman Jabali, chairman of the Radio and Television Company.
"This false information was given to us by a military official, and its spread has seriously damaged the credibility of radio and television," he added.
Jabali said that the number of people watching Iranian television is gradually decreasing, and according to opinion polls, 63% of the country's citizens do not currently watch state television.
It should be noted that during the 12-day Iran-Israel conflict, Iranian media claimed that Israeli F-35 fighters were shot down and several pilots, including a female pilot, were taken prisoner.
