An assassination attempt was made against national activist Ali Babai from the city of Goshachay in the West Azerbaijan province.
His relatives have released information about this.
Allegedly, he was chased by two cars near the village of Goytepe on the Tabriz-Goshachay road, near Goshachay:
"One of the cars tried to cause an artificial accident several times, even trying to roll Ali Babai's car into a ravine, but it failed. After that, one of the unknown individuals in the second car opened fire on the national activist, but the assassination attempt did not take place."
It should be noted that a few days ago, the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz sentenced Ali Babai and 13 other national activists to a total of 89 years in prison.
Babai was sentenced to 6 years and 4 months in prison on charges of "being a member of an illegal group."
