Following the suppression of protests in Iran, repression against Arabs intensified in Khuzestan province, at the same time as in most regions of the country.
Human rights organizations have released information on this.
According to reports, security forces have been raiding houses, searching them, arresting the wounded and those suspected of participating in the protests, especially in the city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province.
Although hundreds of Arab activists have been reported to be arrested, it is not known what charges they are facing or where they are being held.
At the same time, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, Mai Sato, also issued a statement expressing concern about the start of a new wave of repression.
"We have received reports of Iranian government officials raiding hospitals and arresting the wounded. This is a serious violation of the right to access to health services under international law," the special rapporteur said.
