The Iranian Presidential Office announced the number of people who lost their lives during the protests as 3,117.

Based on the reconciliation of forensic medical examination and Population Registration Organization data, the identities of 2,986 people were published. The reason for the discrepancy was the failure to identify some bodies and discrepancies in the registration of some identification data.

It was stated that a special system would be launched within 48 hours to verify and clarify the data.

At the same time, a number of Iranian national newspapers published the same list with the government, which includes the names and information of 2,986 people.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the names of all victims are not included in this list and that the actual number of deaths is higher than the published figures.

It should be noted that officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have repeatedly called the protesters "terrorists".
