IRGC: Iran's military power will not be a subject of discussion

The IRGC has deployed the Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missile in underground missile facilities. A senior IRGC commander said the move sends a clear message ahead of Tehran's talks with America.

Majid Mousavi, the commander of the IRGC’s aerospace forces, attended the inauguration of a new underground “missile city” where the Khorramshahr-4 was displayed, Iranian media reported.

The demonstration came hours before the start of indirect Iranian-American talks in Muscat.

The Khorramshahr-4, described as one of Iran’s most advanced long-range ballistic missiles, has a range of about 2,000 km and can carry a 1,500 kg warhead, state-run Press TV reported. The missile was deployed at an underground facility of the IRGC’s aerospace forces, report said.

Iranian state media said the deployment was aimed at sending a message to regional and extra-regional enemies.

In a separate interview carried by state-run media, Yadollah Javani, the IRGC’s deputy chief of political affairs, said the missile display showed Iran would not give up its military might while pursuing diplomacy.
