Yashar Hasanpour, a South Azerbaijani national activist living in the city of Sardari near Tabriz, was arrested on February 25 by officers from the local branch of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.
Human rights organizations reported the arrest, citing information from the activist’s family.
According to the reports, officials who raided his home used violence against him during the arrest.
