This was announced by Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi, the spokesperson for the Iranian Police Forces.

According to him, more than 129,000 police officers are continuously serving at these checkpoints, including emergency units, rescue teams, special forces, and traffic police.

Montazer al-Mahdi also stated that approximately 15,000 vehicle and motorcycle patrol units are continuously operating throughout the country.

He added that following targeted attacks on security facilities, and damage inflicted on some law-enforcement units, patrol units were tactically reorganized and turned into police stations and mobile checkpoints.
