Armed clash in Khuzestan over missing American pilot

An armed confrontation occurred in Iran’s Khuzestan province over a missing American pilot.

According to local sources, the clash took place between Basij members affiliated with the IRGC, who were searching to capture the pilot, and a local armed group trying to rescue him.

Reports indicate that the Basij members fled the scene after the confrontation, which took place overnight.

No information about casualties has been reported.

It is noted that on March 2, a U.S.-owned F-15 fighter jet was shot down in Iranian airspace.

While one of the pilots was rescued by U.S. forces, searches for the second pilot are ongoing.
