China has dismissed allegations that it is supplying weapons to Iran, calling the claims “entirely fabricated,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday.
The statement followed media reports suggesting that Beijing had provided military equipment to Tehran.
CNN reported on Friday, citing U.S. intelligence sources, that China was preparing to send new air defense systems to Iran in the coming weeks.
Guo emphasized that China maintains a cautious and responsible policy on military exports, with strict regulations guided by domestic laws and international commitments.
“We reject baseless accusations and any attempt to make malicious connections,” he said during a press briefing.
