Human rights organizations reported this, citing the prisoner’s family.

According to the reports, Azimi’s family has not been informed where he is being held or what charges have been brought against him.

“Despite repeated inquiries by his relatives during this period, state institutions have refused to provide any information about his fate or health condition, and have not allowed family visits or phone calls,” the statement said.

Human rights defenders stated that, because of this lack of information, Akbar Azimi’s family fears that he may be subjected to torture and that his life could be in danger.

It should be noted that Akbar Azimi was arrested on April 4 due to his critical remarks regarding the country’s ongoing economic crisis and daily living problems.
