Water industry spokesperson Issa Bozorgzadeh stated that Iran has not entered an unusually wet period, noting that nationwide rainfall is only slightly above the historical average.

According to him, rainfall remains below normal in 11 provinces, including Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Qom, Semnan, Alborz, and Qazvin, with Tehran facing some of the most serious conditions.

Bozorgzadeh emphasized that water management must be addressed on a regional basis, arguing that heavy rain in one province cannot resolve water shortages affecting major urban centers in other parts of the country.
