The information was released by the Statistical Center of Iran.

Sharp price increases were reported for basic goods such as cooking oil, rice, chicken, meat, dairy products, and legumes. The prices of some products, including vegetable oil and cooking oil, increased more than fourfold compared to April of last year, while items such as chicken, eggs, and rice saw increases of more than 150%.

The report comes as declining purchasing power, rising inflation, and the ongoing economic crisis have forced many families to give up part of their daily necessities. The continued rise in food prices has placed even greater pressure on low-income groups.
