An Iranian court has sentenced 21-year-old Zahra Mousavi, an Afghan-origin resident of Fariman city in Razavi Khorasan province, to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
Human rights organizations reported the information.
According to the reports, she was punished for participating in the January protests.
Mousavi has been accused of “organizing groups,” “teaching how to prepare incendiary materials,” and “undermining national security.”
The Afghan woman was arrested in January this year and is currently being held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
