Jerusalem Post: Iran may carry out a surprise attack against Gulf countries and Israel

This was reported by the “Jerusalem Post,” citing Israeli officials.

The possibility of an Iranian attack emerged following a security assessment held with the participation of Defense Minister Israel Katz and senior military officials.

The warnings come at a time when ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran are ongoing. According to reports, U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have differences over how to proceed regarding Iran.

Security officials said Tehran may attempt a pre-emptive strike because it believes the United States and Israel have concluded that a diplomatic solution is no longer possible.

The Air Force and the Israel Defense Forces Operations Directorate, under the leadership of Major General Hidai Zilberman and other senior officials, have held a series of discussions with American partners to increase preparedness levels. This includes the transfer of intelligence regarding unusual Iranian activity.

In addition, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, has held security consultations with military commanders as part of both defensive and offensive preparations.
