This was reported in the statistics of the Iran Water Resources Management Company.

It was also stated that although water levels in reservoirs in the western parts of the country have increased, provinces such as Tehran, Markazi, Razavi Khorasan, Qom, Isfahan, Zanjan, and Hamedan are in an unfavorable situation.

According to the report, drinking water supply in cities including Tehran, Karaj, Mashhad, Arak, Qom, Isfahan, Yazd, Zanjan, and Hamedan is facing restrictions.

Earlier, the Secretary-General of the Iran Water Industry Federation, Alireza Shariat, warned that if consumption is not reduced, a forced migration crisis involving 15 million people could occur in Iran’s central plateau.

It should be noted that Iran’s central plateau includes seven provinces: Kerman, Fars, Isfahan, Yazd, Markazi, Qom, and Semnan.
