Yashar Darushshafa, a social sciences researcher and political activist from Qazvin, was detained in Tehran on the morning of Monday, June 1.
According to reports, plainclothes security forces forcibly broke down the door of his home, entered the residence, and took Yashar Darushshafa with them.
It is reported that government forces arrested him without presenting any court order or legal warrant and took him to an unknown location.
During the arrest, security forces reportedly conducted a search of the house, creating an atmosphere of fear and pressure, and also confiscated some of the activist’s personal belongings and electronic devices.
Yashar Darushshafa and his brother, Kaveh Darushshafa, have been repeatedly detained and sentenced in previous years in connection with their political and civic activities.
Darushshafa studied industrial management at Qazvin International University and later obtained a master’s degree in social welfare planning from the University of Tehran.
