Iranian border guards have shot and killed a 17-year-old named Seyyid Yusuf Hashemi in the Zabol area on the border with Afghanistan, according to reports.
The information was published by the Balochistan Human Rights Documentation Network.
According to the report, the teenager, originally from the city of Zahedan, was deported to Afghanistan because he did not have an identification card. He was reportedly killed while attempting to return home through irregular means.
It is also stated that his body was not handed over to his family for two days, and only after the issue became public permission was granted for the funeral ceremony.
