The Revolutionary Courts in the cities of Mashhad and Qom have handed down severe prison sentences and additional punishments against Javad Alikordi and Seyyed Mohammadreza Razavi Fard.
Human rights organizations reported the news.
According to the reports, Javad Alikordi was sentenced to 18 years in prison, while Seyyed Mohammadreza Razavi Fard received a 10-year prison sentence.
They were convicted on charges of "assembling and colluding with the intent to act against national security" and "spreading propaganda against the country's national security."
In addition to their prison terms, the lawyers were sentenced to two years of internal exile after their release and were banned from using social media.
Both lawyers had previously faced prosecution because of their human rights activities.
