Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reportedly distributed advertisements on the streets of Tehran calling on Iranian youth to join the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, offering a monthly salary of $1,000.
The information was reported by foreign media outlets and shared by users on social media.
According to the reports, the recruitment campaign began after Hezbollah suffered heavy losses during the war in Lebanon. It is said to target IRGC-affiliated Basij volunteers as well as economically disadvantaged young people.
It is worth noting that the $1,000 monthly salary promised by the IRGC is approximately seven times Iran's current minimum wage.
