A total of 232 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons during April, May, and June of this year.
The figures were released by human rights organizations.
According to the reports, June recorded the highest number of executions, with 136 people hanged during the month.
This figure is more than six times higher than the number of executions recorded in April and nearly twice as high as in May.
Those executed reportedly included several political prisoners as well as individuals who had been detained in connection with the January protests.
