The announcement was made by Saeed Isapur, Director of the Planning and Integration Office at the Lake Urmia Restoration Headquarters.
"According to the latest monitoring results, the water level of Lake Urmia has reached 1,271.05 meters, while its surface area has expanded to approximately 3,080 square kilometers," Isapur said.
He added that the average rainfall in the Lake Urmia basin has reached approximately 440 millimeters since April, noting that the increased precipitation has played a significant role in the lake's recovery.
It is worth noting that Lake Urmia's maximum capacity is 32 billion cubic meters, while its average capacity is 15 billion cubic meters.
