Iran's Intelligence Ministry has published a list of opposition media outlets established by Iranians abroad, foreign media organizations covering Iran, and Iranian media activists.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, anyone who communicates with the listed media outlets or individuals in any way, including by sending information, messages, photographs or videos, could face severe punishment under Article 4 of the Law on Increasing the Penalty for Espionage.
The list includes several Israeli television channels, the BBC, Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and other media organizations.
It also names several South Azerbaijani political and media activists, as well as Gunaz TV (South Azerbaijan Television).
The ministry warned that anyone accused of maintaining contact or cooperating with Gunaz TV in any form could face between two and five years in prison.
