Masoud Farhikhteh, an Azerbaijani teacher and civil activist who had been held in solitary confinement at a prison in Karaj, has been transferred to an unknown location, according to his family.
His wife said that the authorities have not responded to the family's inquiries about where he was taken.
Farhikhteh, a teacher and civil activist residing in Eslamshahr, Alborz Province, was sentenced in August last year to 4 years, 1 month, and 17 days in prison.
He was convicted on charges of "assembly and collusion against national security" and "propaganda against the state."
