Bahram Yaghoubi, a teacher from Tabriz and civil activist, has been sentenced to eight months in prison, according to local sources.
He was convicted on charges of "spreading propaganda against the government on social media."
Yaghoubi has previously faced pressure and prosecution over his peaceful civic activities and advocacy for teachers' rights. In July 2024, he was also dismissed from his teaching position.
