A verdict has been issued for Mahtab Salehi, a French Language and Literature student at the University of Tabriz, who was arrested during the January protests.
The information was reported by human rights organizations.
According to the reports, the East Azerbaijan Court of Appeal overturned the original one-year prison sentence handed down by the lower court and replaced it with nine months of electronic monitoring under an ankle bracelet, along with restrictions on her freedom of movement.
The new sentence imposed on Mahtab Salehi began to be enforced on August 3.
