Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the United States should not seek to monopolize relations with other countries.

“It is neither possible nor appropriate for the United States to monopolize relations with any particular country,” Peskov told the Vesti television programme.

“We have our own partners and friends, and we will preserve and further develop these friendly and partnership ties,” he added.

Bessent told Fox Business on Wednesday that the Trump administration was moving to economically “asphyxiate” Iran and warned countries that continued to support Tehran to “stay away.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday, during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, that Moscow was providing Iran with equipment and other assistance as it faces war with the United States.
