Ardabil-based civil rights activist Sahar Mamizadeh has been sentenced to imprisonment and flogging.
Human rights organizations reported the case.
According to the reports, the Ardabil Revolutionary Court sentenced Mamizadeh to 25 months and 15 days in prison and 50 lashes.
She was accused of “engaging in propaganda against the regime by publishing content in cyberspace,” “insulting Khomeini and Khamenei,” and “disrupting public order by participating in protests and engaging in activities against public security.”
Sahar Mamizadeh has previously faced persecution and pressure for her peaceful activities.
