Police officers in Najafabad, Isfahan Province, reportedly beat 33-year-old Pejman Surani to death.
Human rights organizations reported the incident.
According to the reports, the incident took place at the Aminabad gas station in the city.
“Police officers struck Pejman Surani with a police vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene following an argument with government supporters. The officers then severely beat the injured man and, in public, repeatedly slammed his head against a wall. Although Surani was taken to hospital, doctors were unable to save his life.”
The results of a forensic autopsy reportedly confirmed that Pejman Surani died as a result of severe blows to his body.
