Branch 6 of the Criminal Court in Iran’s Razavi Khorasan province has sentenced 23-year-old social media activist Najmeh Amini to death.
The Iranian newspaper Khorasan reported the case.
Amini was accused of “insulting the Prophet and the imams” on social media.
The activist, who is currently being held at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, said in an audio recording that she had been informed of her death sentence.
