“Efforts to identify people who openly and blatantly violate hijab and chastity rules began some time ago, and they will be held accountable.”

The statement was made by Asadollah Jafari, head of the judiciary in Iran’s Isfahan Province.

“Hijab is a divine command, a legal requirement, and a demand of the people. The judiciary is prepared to enforce this divine command and is already doing so,” he added.

The Isfahan cleric said no one had the right to object to the requirement.

“Where there is a clear and explicit command from God, no one has the right to object. We have laws governing the enforcement of the hijab requirement, and as the judiciary, we have no fear when it comes to enforcing the law,” he said.

Jafari claimed that some people had crossed all red lines and threatened that they would face severe punishment.
