The Islamic Republic’s political system would not be overthrown through military strikes alone, and the possibility of a major change could emerge if people take to the streets.
This was stated by Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
In an interview with the media, Ardestani said the likelihood of a US attack on Iran is high.
“The United States may kill commanders and senior leaders in new attacks,” he said.
The lawmaker added that Iran would target Israel if it came under attack.
“If a bomb explodes in Iran, there is also a possibility of retaliation and a strike on Israel’s Dimona facility,” he said.
