The deputy of Armenian Parliament said in an interview with the official “Iran” news agency that the Armenian people know the value of Ali Khamenei.
Thus, Lilit Galstyan said that Khamenei supported Armenia in the Karabakh conflict and emphasized that support of Iran during this period.
"I can confidently say that in the opinion of the Armenian people, the Iranian leader's statements about the security of Armenians and the immutability of their borders had a very good effect on the psychology of the Armenian people," said Galstyan.
It should be reminded that during the occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran provided arms to Armenia, especially during the 44-day Second Karabakh War. Iran also tried to prevent the liberation of those territories by transmitting information and intelligence data to Armenia.
