He stressed out that the living condition of 30% of Iranian population is below the poverty line. As a result of the decrease in the welfare state of the people, additional 40% of the population will fall to the poverty line. In total the 70% of the population will live under the poverty line.

"60% of the country's poor families have a head who is busy with work. However, as a result of the state's policies in the field of economy, a Tsunami of the poor people has occurred who are working in the political economy of Iran."

Referring to the claims of the Iranian Government such as following the supremacy of law, the economist said: “The state says that this is the law in the matter of the hijab. Well, the labor law says that the state must take into account the inflation rate when setting the minimum wage and compensate for the lost purchasing power of the people. Why this rule is not being followed?”

It should be noted that experts representing the working-class demand that the minimum wage be set at 18,900,000 Tumans (about $300) in the Iranian New Year 1403 (after March 20).

But the business owners insist that this number should be set at 200 dollars. The state also prioritizes the demands of business owners under the pretext of economic policy.
