Dozens of shops in the Uryad Mall complex in Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province's capital, have closed.

Local media activists and businessmen shared information about this on social media platforms.

"Following Masoud Pezeshkian's election as president, a celebration ceremony was held in the shopping complex, and the government forces then banned the activities of the shops in the complex and sealed the doors," according to the information.

Activists and prominent businessmen claimed they were punished by supporters of Saeed Jalili, who is currently in a powerful position, for backing Masoud Pezeshkian.

They claimed they were pressured and threatened for supporting Pezeshkian during the pre-election campaign.

It should be noted that, following Masoud Pezeshkian's election as president, conservative political forces in the government have engaged in a number of provocative actions.

The Turkish Airlines office in Iran was closed a day ago following a one-hour phone call between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Masoud Pezeshkian.

Government officials raided Turkish Airlines' offices, claiming that the mandatory hijab rules had been broken and insulting the employees.

Despite the office workers' protests, officials removed them from the office and sealed the doors.

It is suspected that this was done on purpose by radical conservatives close to Pezeshkia's defeated opponent, Saeed Jalili.
